Forum Rules & Conduct

Welcome to 19eighty-five, a forum that lifts up all females through vision and art. We're more than just a girly-graphic design forum or a stuffy 'girls only' community. We're about a larger purpose: empowerment and education... and a little fun. Who says we can't have a little fun??

So here we will outline the rules and conduct for the forum. All members of the this forum are you read and 'sign off' (reply). If you do not sign off you will NOT be granted permission to view the rest of the forum. As a matter of fact that should have been rule #1, but we'll digress and move along.

• Be kind and respect all members. This is very important as we all are here for one purpose or another. Treat everyone as you'd want them to treat you.
  
• No Flaming, Trolling, Spamming & other net annoyances. Please don't flame (bully), Troll (subject changer), Spam (posting unwanted,unwarranted content deemed annoying) on this forum-UNLESS it is specified in the post (For example: Forum games are considered spam because its completely off topic to anything on the forum). If you are found in violation of this rule, you will be warned. If you are warned more than 3 times, it will result in an automatic ban for 30 days. (Time is subject to change according to the amount of warnings and bans)
  
• Stealing, Hot-linking & Plagiarism is NOT permitted. These are all forms of stealing one way or another. Stealing (taking [credit for] something that doesn't belong to you), Hot-linking (copy and pasting an image link straight from the source without hosting it yourself. If you find an image online that you'd like to use, please go to Photobucket, ImageShack or DropBox and upload the image there before stealing someone elses bandwidth). Please don't do it here or elsewhere.
  
• Foul Language. We've restricted the use of the more harsher forms of foul language with filters to ensure that this forum is in compliance of the TOS. But for you, please make sure that the discussion is always PG-13.
  
• Fighting. Completely prohibited. If you're caught engaging in any type of FLAME WAR or FIGHT (different from a DEBATE), you will be banned IMMEDIATELY.
  
• Privacy.
  
  • Passwords: No admin or staff member will ever ask you for your password, so please do not give it out. If you are unsure PM 'admin' or the main administrator.
  • Personal Info. Personal info like your address, phone number, school, parents names, addresses of other members are prohibited from being posted on this forum. This also includes LINKS to such information. Remember the first rule?
    
  • PMs: Please do not repost or link to private messages made on this forum. They're private for a reason. This falls under the same category of the passwords. No one will ever ask for them so please do not make them public. The exception is if the PM pertains to a contest/challenge or a forum event or activity. Otherwise, keep it to yourself.
  
  
• Content & Photos. This includes nude pictures, pornography, or links to like material (anything NOT SAFE FOR WORK [NSFW]) are NOT ALLOWED. There are plenty of places to go to find this stuff on the internet, this is not one of them. Please keep all pictures posted within these limits. Any graphic content or offensive material is NOT ALLOWED. No exception for video or GIFs either. Please use good judgment on this. If you post something that the staff feels is violating this rule, the post will be removed and you will be issued a warning.
  
• Have Fun. At the end of the day, we all just want to let our hair down and have a good time. If we all work together to comply with the rules, there's no reason we all shouldn't have a smooth and fun experience.
